Thumpermonkey – Own

Thumpermonkey

Prog-pop? The vocal stands out – it has a distinctive pure tone over an impressive range; the nearest comparison: Marc Almond, possibly.  The chords roll away underneath, with a train-journey-like rhythm, flitting between some interesting intervals, but never settling. Kind of stream-of-consciousness songwriting. Intriguing.
